## Why
New error variants should not prevent older clients from handling app-server errors.
## What changed
- Deserialize unknown `CodexErrorInfo` strings and objects as `Other` in Rust, while preserving known variants and the `"other"` serialization.
- Allow arbitrary strings and objects in the exported JSON schemas and TypeScript type.
- Update Python SDK generation and generated models to accept unknown error strings and object payloads.
## Testing
Add Rust tests for `"other"` round trips, unknown string and object fallbacks, known structured variants, and rejection of null, boolean, numeric, and array values.

## Why
Guardian denial-limit interruptions lack a structured error identifying the cause. Make this opt-in because older clients may not recognize the new error in shared history.
## What changed
- Add `auto_review.circuit_break_action = "strict"` to attach `TooManyDenials` to the interrupted turn. The default leaves the error unset.
- Expose `turn.error.codexErrorInfo = "tooManyDenials"` in app-server notifications and saved history, and update protocol schemas and generated types.
- Preserve the warning, denial limit, and interrupted status without emitting a separate error notification.
## Testing
Add an integration test covering omitted, `default`, and `strict` settings, checking warnings, live turn errors, the absence of separate error notifications, and persisted turn errors after restart.

## What changed
- Recognize `flex_unavailable` in HTTP 429 responses and streamed `error` and `response.failed` events. End normal turns without retries and report `Flex capacity unavailable.`
- Expose `flexUnavailable` through the core and app-server protocols and generated schemas and SDK types.
- Keep Flex capacity failures eligible for Guardian review and sampler retries, with a distinct telemetry classification.
- Map unexpected HTTP responses to `HttpConnectionFailed`, preserving their status codes.
## Testing
Add regression coverage for terminal Flex failures over HTTP, SSE, and WebSocket, HTTP 504 status preservation after a stream retry, and protocol serialization. Update Guardian retry and sampler recovery tests to cover Flex failures.

## Why
App-server clients need the explanation and steering instruction returned with a
misalignment policy violation to offer a user-confirmed continuation. Missing or
incomplete details must continue to behave as a terminal block.
## What changed
- Parse optional misalignment classification, explanation, and steering details
from streamed and HTTP Responses errors and propagate them through core errors.
- Include the details in live app-server `error` and `turn/completed` payloads and
export the corresponding protocol schemas and TypeScript types.
- Keep explanations and steering messages out of serialized rollout events and
redact them from debug output.
- Document how clients can resume with `turn/start` after user confirmation.
## Testing
- Cover streamed, HTTP, and WebSocket-wrapped errors, including malformed and
classification-only details.
- Verify live app-server notifications expose resumable details without writing
the explanation or steering message to the rollout.

## What changed
- Classify `response.failed` events with the `rate_limit_exceeded` code as a distinct retryable error while preserving any parsed retry delay.
- Expose the error as `rateLimitExceeded` through the core protocol and app-server schemas after stream retries are exhausted.
- Preserve the upstream message for TUI display while keeping it out of telemetry summaries.
## Testing
- Cover SSE classification, retry metadata, protocol conversion and serialization, exhausted stream retries, telemetry redaction, and TUI rendering.

## What changed
- Recognize `misalignment_policy_violation` errors from response streams and HTTP 400 or 403 responses.
- Preserve the upstream message, use a fallback for blank messages, and treat the error as non-retryable.
- Expose `misalignmentPolicyViolation` through the app-server protocol and generated schemas so turns fail with a typed terminal error.
## Testing
- Cover streamed and HTTP policy violations, fallback messages, retry behavior, and app-server turn completion.

## Summary
- rename the rollout-budget exhaustion error from
`RolloutBudgetExceeded` to `SessionBudgetExceeded`
- expose the matching app-server v2 wire value as
`sessionBudgetExceeded`
- regenerate JSON/TypeScript schema fixtures and update the app-server
docs and focused tests
This is a naming-only follow-up to #29715 based on [Pavel's review
suggestion](https://github.com/openai/codex/pull/29715#discussion_r3463183480).
Runtime behavior is unchanged.
## Tests
- `just test -p codex-core rollout_budget`
- `just test -p codex-app-server-protocol`
- `just fmt`
- `just write-app-server-schema`
## Summary
- surface shared rollout-budget exhaustion as
`CodexErr::RolloutBudgetExceeded` instead of a generic interrupted turn
- map it through the existing `CodexErrorInfo` and app-server v2
`codexErrorInfo` path
- keep local compaction from retrying after the shared rollout budget is
exhausted
This gives app-server clients a stable `rolloutBudgetExceeded` error
they can classify without guessing from `status="interrupted"`.
## Tests
- `just test -p codex-core rollout_budget`
## Summary
- queue input after the user submits `/compact` until that manual
compact turn ends
- mirror the same behavior in the app-server TUI
- add regressions for input queued before compact starts and while it is
running

Similar to what @sayan-oai did in openai/codex#8956 for
`config.schema.json`, this PR updates the repo so that it includes the
output of `codex app-server generate-json-schema` and `codex app-server
generate-ts` and adds a test to verify it is in sync with the current
code.
Motivation:
- This makes any schema changes introduced by a PR transparent during
code review.
- In particular, this should help us catch PRs that would introduce a
non-backwards-compatible change to the app schema (eventually, this
should also be enforced by tooling).
- Once https://github.com/openai/codex/pull/10231 is in to formalize the
notion of "experimental" fields, we can work on ensuring the
non-experimental bits are backwards-compatible.
`codex-rs/app-server-protocol/tests/schema_fixtures.rs` was added as the
test and `just write-app-server-schema` can be use to generate the
vendored schema files.
Incidentally, when I run:
```
rg _ codex-rs/app-server-protocol/schema/typescript/v2
```
I see a number of `snake_case` names that should be `camelCase`.
