## Why
MCP inventory can be cached or collected separately from a thread's live
connections, so tool availability alone does not describe the current runtime
state.
## What changed
- Add a nullable `runtimeStatus` to `mcpServerStatus/list` for thread-scoped
requests, covering not-started, starting, connected, authentication-required,
failed, cancelled, and disabled connections.
- Observe published connection state without starting or reconnecting servers,
and return an unknown status when no thread is supplied or the active
configuration no longer matches the published registration.
- Show connection state and tool counts in the compact `/mcp` view while
retaining the detailed inventory in `/mcp verbose` and compatibility with
servers that omit `runtimeStatus`.
## Testing
- Cover runtime status transitions, deferred and disabled servers, closed
transports, configuration changes, protocol compatibility, and TUI rendering.

## What changed
- Scope remote installed-plugin and loaded-plugin snapshots to the active account, and discard in-flight loads when the account changes.
- Serialize bundle reconciliation with direct installs and uninstalls, and use cache generations to prevent stale refreshes from overwriting newer state.
- Validate the complete installed-plugin snapshot before downloading bundles or removing stale cache entries, while retaining valid installed metadata when materialization fails.
## Testing
- Cover account changes during plugin loading, incomplete snapshots, refresh/reconciliation races, and reconciliation cancellation recovery.

## What changed
- Implement `account/bedrock/discover` to report AWS profiles and available environment credentials.
- Implement `account/bedrock/setup` for validated AWS profiles and environment credentials, persisting the selected region and profile in the Bedrock provider configuration.
- Resolve Bedrock authentication according to the selected credential source, and clear stale profile configuration when using a Codex-managed Bedrock API key.
## Testing
- Cover profile and environment discovery, setup validation and persistence, conflicting credentials, and authentication-source precedence.
GitOrigin-RevId: 16d700cb0843df768c2fdb6d0c8d26c3402e93df
## Why
Runtime permission updates must not weaken managed filesystem `deny_read`
requirements.
## What changed
- Retain managed deny-read rules separately and merge them into updated
permission profiles.
- Reject permission profiles and legacy sandbox policies that conflict with a
managed denied path.
- Apply the same constraint when `command/exec` handles a request-specific
sandbox policy.
## Testing
- Cover thread permission updates with managed deny-read requirements.
- Cover `command/exec` enforcement for managed and user-defined denies,
including conflicting policy and profile overrides.

## What changed
- Expand `configRequirements/read` with the Browser/Computer Use umbrella
policy and the complete browser-use policy, including origin-specific access,
download, upload, auto-review, and approval controls.
- Return computer-use persistent approval, default app access, macOS bundle ID
rules, and Windows AUMID and executable rules.
- Export the corresponding v2 protocol types and generated JSON and TypeScript
schemas.
## Testing
- Extend the config requirements RPC test to cover the new browser and
platform-specific computer-use fields.
GitOrigin-RevId: d1be93388701b06312a26853d640401b63b4d535
## What changed
- Add a top-level `allow_browser_and_computer_use` requirement.
- Support browser requirements for history access, automatic review, persistent approvals, and default or per-origin access policies.
- Support computer-use requirements for persistent approvals, default app access, macOS bundle IDs, Windows AUMIDs, and Windows executables.
- Preserve these settings and their sources when composing layered requirements.
## Testing
- Cover deserialization, empty-value detection, source propagation, and layered TOML merging for the new requirements.
GitOrigin-RevId: d14a10b64465f1c54e9bcc3795dc93031e6b029b
## What changed
- Add an extension API for spawning host-owned internal sessions and a
`ThreadReadyInput` lifecycle callback that runs after thread registration.
- Add Guardian reviewer session scaffolding that records the parent thread and
effective model, plus the under-development `guardian_ext` feature flag.
- Start internal sessions with fresh history while preserving parent lineage,
shared session controls, and internal-thread visibility rules.
- Scope internal-session prompt cache keys to their source and parent thread,
and expose `guardian` as an internal session source.
## Testing
- Cover internal-session spawning, parent metadata, history isolation, prompt
cache keys, and extension spawner argument forwarding.

## Why
App-server logs can be persisted or included in submitted diagnostics, so credentials used by model providers, authentication refreshes, and attestation requests must not appear in diagnostic output.
## What changed
- Add `RedactedString`, which preserves serialization and string access while replacing debug output with `<redacted>`.
- Use it for model-provider bearer tokens, header and query values, authentication command arguments, and attestation tokens.
- Avoid logging JSON-RPC error payloads and parser or authentication errors that may echo credentials; retain safe context such as error codes and categories.
## Testing
- Add an app-server regression test that exercises provider credentials, refreshed authentication tokens, and attestation tokens, then verifies none appear in persisted SQLite or submitted diagnostic logs.
GitOrigin-RevId: 8c50408adf94d93847658b1320682cf3b637d2cc
## What changed
- Read `mcp_servers` configuration and requirements from each selected remote
executor and add eligible HTTP servers to the thread's MCP runtime.
- Bind discovered servers to the thread's concrete executor snapshot and apply
environment MCP policy and requirements. Discovery is best effort, and
executor-local servers are not treated as required at startup.
- Ignore unsupported stdio servers and HTTP configurations that depend on
environment-provided headers or header helpers.
## Testing
- Added an app-server integration test covering discovery, authenticated HTTP
tool invocation, requirements enforcement, and exclusion of stdio servers.
GitOrigin-RevId: 6e1cdcebdbb1cc21a5a2285fbc5617d8d5997182
## Why
Clients that create and negotiate realtime calls themselves need Codex to join
those calls without creating another call or overwriting the client-owned
session configuration.
## What changed
- Add the `existingCall` transport to `thread/realtime/start`, accepting a
client-provided `callId` and optional `realtimeSessionId`.
- Attach Codex over the call's sideband WebSocket without SDP negotiation or a
session update, and reconnect that sideband while preserving transcript
state.
- Default existing calls to realtime v1, support v1 and v3, and reject v2 or
options that would reconfigure the client-owned session.
- Encode call IDs as a single URL path segment for v3 sideband connections.
## Testing
Add protocol, app-server, core, reconnection, authentication-header, and URL
encoding coverage for existing-call attachments.
GitOrigin-RevId: 2046b70566f98efa55381bb1e461ea3cc68256c5
## Why
Token-budget sessions need a way to recover prior conversation context and preserve working state across context-window transitions.
## What changed
- Add direct-model `history` tools for listing windows and items, reading items, and searching conversation contents.
- Add direct-model `notes` tools for listing, reading, searching, appending, and writing persistent notes.
- Route tool calls through the configured Codex backend with trusted session and agent context, bounded request arguments, and truncation-aware output handling.
- Expose the extension when `features.token_budget.use_history_notes_history` is enabled with an OpenAI provider and Codex backend authentication.
## Testing
- Cover tool registration, configuration changes, provider and authentication requirements, backend request context, encrypted output preservation, and request and response limits.
GitOrigin-RevId: 43b259f01014ba3f30803dd7cd5634942407a9bb
## What changed
- Apply the existing direct-input restriction to `thread/settings/update` for
parent-owned Multi-Agent V2 subagents.
- Document the restriction and extend the direct-input test to verify that the
request returns an invalid-request error.
GitOrigin-RevId: 2eead01c6f54ec637c68573378f3b56a7ee85652
## What changed
- Route turn-cost queries for non-OpenAI providers through the configured
provider endpoint and authentication, while retaining the existing OpenAI
API-key path and excluding Amazon Bedrock.
- Observe turns only when their model provider matches the worker's provider.
- Retry custom-provider authentication failures during periodic availability
probes and ensure client authentication takes precedence over provider
headers.
## Testing
- Add coverage for provider matching, custom-provider authentication retries,
ChatGPT-auth rejection, and header precedence.
GitOrigin-RevId: 04a7b28e8e3e18a510ae6fface5193af40d114c0
## What changed
- Add experimental `mcpServer/event/stream/start` and `mcpServer/event/stream/stop` requests for hosted apps, plus `mcpServer/event/stream/notification` forwarding.
- Scope subscriptions to the owning app-server connection and subscribed thread, enforce unique IDs and a per-connection limit, and clean them up when the thread is unsubscribed or the connection closes.
- Wait for the MCP active notification before completing startup, retry streams that close immediately, and terminate them when authentication or hosted runtime ownership changes.
## Testing
- Add an app-server integration test covering activation, event forwarding, duplicate subscription rejection, and explicit cancellation.
GitOrigin-RevId: 8a6fc1615adfc5af7e67def3b824fa5909ab3e7b
## What changed
- Add `additional_developer_instructions` to managed requirements and expose it through `configRequirements/read` as `additionalDeveloperInstructions`, independently of ordinary developer instructions.
- Include the managed instructions in model context, emit explicit replacement or removal messages when requirements change, and preserve the current value across compaction, resume, and agent forks without duplication.
- Reject managed instructions whose rendered context exceeds 10,000 estimated tokens.
## Testing
- Cover requirements layering and API serialization, context updates and removal, size validation, repeated model requests, compaction and resume, rollout migration, and agent forks.
GitOrigin-RevId: bc0b70fb7988944c2f68176dff55f5ed61eb46c8
## What changed
- Add `in_app_browser.allow_external_browser_settings_import` to managed requirements, preserving explicit Boolean values through layered composition while leaving an omitted value unset.
- Return the policy as `inAppBrowser.allowExternalBrowserSettingsImport` from `configRequirements/read` and include it in the generated protocol schemas.
- Keep the import policy independent from the in-app browser feature flag and agent Browser Use requirements.
## Testing
- Cover parsing, managed-layer precedence, invalid values, user and session override resistance, and app-server response serialization.
GitOrigin-RevId: efa2621d2b1cf503f1bee2505d9914cb4fb7221d
## Why
Unsupported untrusted approval policies must remain startup errors even when
app-server is allowed to fall back from other invalid configuration. Likewise,
compound command summaries must not discard a `sed` stage that can edit files
in place.
## What changed
- Propagate `UnsupportedUntrustedApprovalPolicyError` from both app-server
configuration loads instead of replacing it with default configuration.
- Parse `sed` options through `--`, option arguments, combined short flags, and
backup suffixes so `-i`/`--in-place` commands remain unknown actions.
- Keep non-mutating `sed` operands after `--` from being mistaken for flags.
## Testing
Added parser coverage for in-place `sed` variants in compound commands and for
dash-prefixed operands after `--`.
GitOrigin-RevId: 112ead912e10fcb6c7dd0ede4bf84e390af82da8
## Why
An `apply_patch` path can be replaced with a symlink after verification, allowing an unsandboxed patch operation to reach a different file than the one that was approved.
## What changed
- Add `follow_symlinks` options to executor filesystem reads, writes, metadata lookups, directory creation, and removal, including the corresponding `followSymlinks` protocol fields.
- Implement no-follow filesystem operations on Unix and Windows that reject links in any path component and restrict file access to regular files.
- Run `apply_patch` with symlink traversal disabled when an otherwise-required sandbox is bypassed, while retaining the existing follow-symlink default for standalone callers.
## Testing
- Cover leaf and ancestor symlinks across patch add, update, delete, and move operations, including a path swap after verification.
- Exercise local and remote no-follow filesystem behavior, concurrent directory creation, special-file rejection, and Windows reparse points.
GitOrigin-RevId: 43fd479084891493ce13564fbd894b98f329c6dd
## What changed
- Remove `untrusted` from the CLI, configuration schema, and MCP tool interface. Explicit `approval_policy = "untrusted"` settings now fail with an actionable error.
- Remove the known-safe command allowlist. Projects marked untrusted now request approval for every command unless an explicit exec policy rule allows it.
- Keep command parsing conservative by treating in-place `sed` forms as mutating and ignoring unrecognized commands when recording memory usage.
## Testing
- Cover rejection of the retired configuration value and approval requests for commands in untrusted projects.
GitOrigin-RevId: d6bf425edddfffbb325eee6acf383434af5fd33b
## Why
Environment-owned permission profiles and workspace roots must remain effective
without being persisted or restored as thread-owned settings.
## What changed
- Keep thread settings snapshots and restore data separate from the effective
configuration supplied by the primary environment.
- Use resolved environment permissions, active profiles, workspace roots, and
network policy when building turn context and session events.
- Preserve environment selections when agents are evicted, resumed, or spawned,
and validate owner configuration when it becomes ready.
- Start memory initialization only after the primary environment is configured.
## Testing
- Extend remote-environment and multi-agent tests to cover settings persistence,
owner permission profiles, workspace roots, spawning, eviction, and resume.
GitOrigin-RevId: d82f126981cd0190233020bbdd61d96c70558868
## What changed
- Move the Guardian thread lifecycle contributor and subagent-spawn context into `codex-guardian-v2`.
- Install the lifecycle contributor and asynchronous risk scorer through a single extension entry point.
- Remove the redundant `codex-guardian` crate and group the existing scorer implementation under `async_scorer`.
GitOrigin-RevId: 97141190c843e588b8c09c9ccd3fe00e1fae39a4
## What changed
- Add an optional `delivery` field to agent message events and app-server
`agentMessage` items, with `"async"` identifying a user-visible message sent
without ending the current turn.
- Preserve the marker through legacy event conversion, thread history
materialization, replay, and generated JSON and TypeScript schemas.
- Require delivery of async agent message completion notifications on the
in-process app-server transport.
## Testing
- Cover preservation of async delivery metadata in thread history.
- Cover delivery-required classification for async agent messages.
GitOrigin-RevId: f92ba25de1293ee271404badfdf0d117d6530329
## Why
`codex-http-client` is the intended owner of `reqwest`, while direct first-party
dependencies are tracked as migration debt.
## What changed
- Build app-server test HTTP clients through `HttpClientBuilder`.
- Use `http` and `url` types directly where only protocol types are needed.
- Remove `reqwest` from `codex-app-server` and its temporary dependency-policy
exception.
GitOrigin-RevId: ff9f14a54bc20ec1ea39050bbe08c381ee376119
## Why
Submitting a diagnostic report could appear successful without confirming that Sentry accepted the upload, leaving callers unable to detect transport or HTTP failures.
## What changed
- Send report envelopes through the route-aware HTTP client and await the response.
- Reject redirects, propagate transport and non-success HTTP responses, and include the full error chain in upload JSON-RPC errors.
- Add structured logs for upload attempts, successes, and failures without including report contents.
## Testing
Added coverage for successful uploads, rejected responses, blocked redirects, transport failures, and app-server JSON-RPC error reporting.
GitOrigin-RevId: 07b5cfccd7a65f35d51a720537d2cd8962ed6cdb
## What changed
- Add experimental `account/bedrock/discover` and `account/bedrock/setup`
requests to the app-server protocol.
- Define discovery results for AWS profiles and environment credentials, plus
setup inputs for profiles, environment credentials, and access keys.
- Export the new types in the experimental protocol schema. The app server
currently returns `method not found` for both requests because setup is not
yet implemented.
GitOrigin-RevId: 656b4bc11231a417e97041068cecc5dc692786e3
## What changed
- Add an optional `connectorId` to `mcpServer/resource/read`.
- Forward the selected connector through `x-codex-turn-metadata` for threaded and threadless resource reads, restricting hosted app resources to that connector.
- Update the generated protocol schemas and app-server documentation.
GitOrigin-RevId: 5cc94d703abbbb6086665910c1c9ed5dc7075210
## Why
App widgets need to read resources using the app and account context of the
tool call that produced them, including after a thread is restored.
## What changed
- Add an optional `originCallId` to `mcpServer/resource/read` requests and
return it on successful scoped reads.
- Track bounded provenance for successful app tool calls in thread history and
use the current tool binding, account link, and app policy when reading the
associated widget resource.
- Reject missing, mismatched, failed, or ambiguous origins, while keeping
app-only tools available for widget reads without exposing them to the model.
## Testing
Add app-server coverage for scoped widget reads across both history modes,
ephemeral and persistent threads, server restarts, app-only visibility, and
invalid origin cases.
GitOrigin-RevId: 11eaefc066b2a3b639599e4cbdef680233d150a2
## What changed
- Add the experimental `autoApprovalReview/strictReviewRequired` app-server notification with the review's `threadId`, `turnId`, and `startedAtMs`.
- Emit it when Guardian v2 leaves an approval review in progress because the action risk is elevated or its score is stale.
- Export the notification through the Rust, TypeScript, and JSON schema surfaces and route it to the associated thread.
## Testing
- Cover strict-review reason tracking for elevated and stale risk scores.
- Verify that high-risk approval routing emits one notification whose identifiers and timestamp match the review-started event.
GitOrigin-RevId: e65352894520bfb756c75b2c95e2e149f9767bb2
## Why
Cold resumes and forks could lose the thread's active permission profile and
fall back to the current configured default.
## What changed
- Restore the latest persisted approval policy, approvals reviewer, and active
permission-profile ID when resuming or forking a thread.
- Re-resolve persisted profile IDs through current configuration and
requirements. Missing or invalid profiles fall back to the configured
default, while threads without a persisted profile continue to use current
configuration.
- Keep explicit permission and approval overrides ahead of persisted settings.
## Testing
Added coverage for legacy and paginated histories, settings updates, explicit
overrides, removed or changed profiles, requirement fallbacks, and forks.
GitOrigin-RevId: 2289af2f3206bf131a6ffe0e8447e8d402e76c47
## What changed
- Add a shared helper for recovering the latest persisted approvals reviewer from turn context and thread settings history.
- Use the helper when resuming and forking threads while continuing to honor explicit request overrides.
- Fall back to an older persisted reviewer when the latest turn context omits the field.
## Testing
- Add unit coverage for settings snapshot precedence, turn context precedence, and fallback to an older reviewer.
GitOrigin-RevId: dfc0332b0f1410a4c9a550236eb32624f5133baa
## What changed
- Add the optional `active_permission_profile` field to `TurnContextItem` to record the built-in or named profile that produced the effective permission profile.
- Populate the field when serializing a turn context while preserving compatibility with records where it is absent.
## Testing
- Add coverage verifying that turn-context serialization stores the active permission profile.
GitOrigin-RevId: d69142ab1b26595ab406235f89818ef41370e963
## Why
App-server response diagnostics can include access tokens returned by the ChatGPT auth refresh flow.
## What changed
- Log successfully parsed server responses instead of raw JSON-RPC response payloads.
- Redact `access_token` from the `Debug` representation of `ChatgptAuthTokensRefreshResponse`.
- Avoid formatting callback send errors that can retain the original response payload.
GitOrigin-RevId: fd47485b38ed89527b25937c759b3273581f6ae6
## What changed
- Remove `experimental_thread_config_endpoint` from the configuration model and schema.
- Stop app-server and the in-process client from constructing a remote thread config loader from local configuration.
- Keep the thread config loader supplied at app-server startup fixed for the lifetime of the config manager.
GitOrigin-RevId: e7907fee2d631e7ecf89ec6bac8f22bc2c221350
## What changed
- Give `PluginsManager` a shared `AuthManager` instead of a separately mutable authentication-mode snapshot.
- Read the current authentication mode and credentials from that shared manager for plugin discovery, startup tasks, CLI commands, MCP setup, and external-agent migration.
- Update test helpers and coverage to exercise plugin projections and curated marketplace selection as authentication changes.
GitOrigin-RevId: 600c94de5130eda2da5727e1a0b4d39083fefc56
## What changed
Gate plugin hook resolution in `hooks/list` on both the hooks and plugins
feature flags. When hooks are disabled, return the default empty plugin hook
outcome without loading plugin hook sources or warnings.
GitOrigin-RevId: 166070576effaba248b790c4f2a47e6e9a7b1112
## What changed
- Add `cli_auth_credentials_store` and `chatgpt_base_url` as exact managed requirements loaded from local requirements configuration.
- Apply these requirements to runtime and bootstrap authentication configuration, overriding user-configured values.
- Expose the managed values through `configRequirements/read` and reject attempts to change them through config write APIs.
- Ignore these local-only authentication requirements in cloud-managed requirement layers.
## Testing
- Cover requirement loading and composition, runtime and bootstrap overrides, app-server responses, and read-only config writes.
GitOrigin-RevId: 8ea9c096386072036ca5441f3d48af8707988a65
## Why
Config reads arriving while a long-running shared read was active waited for that
request to finish, even though they could safely run concurrently.
## What changed
- Admit newly queued shared reads into the active batch until an exclusive write
is queued, preserving the write as a fairness barrier.
- Treat `hooks/list` and `configRequirements/read` as shared config reads.
- Cover concurrent reads, read/write ordering, and config reads completing
alongside a `skills/list` request.
GitOrigin-RevId: 8194301c2ba60be0fc71b8915923af9accc745dc
## What changed
- Track app-server turn lifecycle events for OpenAI API-key sessions when OTLP telemetry export is enabled.
- Query the turn-cost endpoint after completed or aborted turns and emit `codex.turn_cost` with the estimated USD cost, interruption state, model, speed, and reasoning effort.
- Preserve provider organization and project headers, wait for all observed responses to be priced, and retry pending or transiently failed queries with bounded tracking.
- Re-probe availability after authentication changes and shut the worker down with other app-server background tasks.
## Testing
- Cover late API-key login, transient probe failures, telemetry after thread removal, and turns with multiple responses.
- Verify turn-cost requests use API-key authentication and provider scope headers and deserialize priced response data.
GitOrigin-RevId: a303162a54798b554fcb2e9e2b372e1cf9f49f39
## What changed
- Stop fetching the ChatGPT workspace `enable_plugins` setting.
- Let the effective Codex feature configuration control app and plugin APIs,
plugin-provided skills and hooks, and experimental feature reporting.
GitOrigin-RevId: 46aebf0f07cd47e093e48663e41207cdf9a38c9f
## What changed
- Add `[skills].max_context_tokens` to override the token budget used to render the available-skills catalog.
- Require a positive value and cap configured budgets at 10,000 tokens.
- Preserve the existing default of 2% of the model context window when the option is unset.
## Testing
- Cover configuration parsing, override behavior, the 10,000-token cap, and catalog rendering within the configured budget.
GitOrigin-RevId: f29ddcb57fc2d800c0006d03e1c33cbe3ab6272d
## Why
App-server request deserialization otherwise ignores unknown fields, so clients using the removed `permissionProfile` field could have their requested permission settings silently ignored.
## What changed
- Reject `permissionProfile` with an invalid-params error on `thread/start`, `thread/resume`, `thread/fork`, and `turn/start`.
- Direct clients to select a named profile through `permissions` instead.
- Continue accepting unrelated unknown fields for forward compatibility.
## Testing
- Cover rejection of the obsolete field on all four affected methods and verify that the connection remains usable.
- Cover successful `thread/start` requests that combine named `permissions` with an unknown field.
GitOrigin-RevId: a63764fb899bc5f212d60617dc32e911bde8073e
## What changed
- Report available space for `CODEX_HOME` and the active worktree, warning below 5 GiB and failing below 1 GiB.
- On Windows, report whether the active Git worktree is on a trusted Dev Drive and provide remediation when it is not.
- Run attached doctor reports against the conversation workspace, including workspaces recovered from persisted thread metadata, while keeping the subprocess anchored in `CODEX_HOME` so deleted workspaces do not prevent it from starting.
## Testing
- Cover disk thresholds, measurement failures, missing paths, conversation workspace selection, command construction, Windows volume detection, and human-readable output.
GitOrigin-RevId: 0a99f9d278717e7d19936ffc504984b3a0958c25
## What changed
- Discover synchronous `mcp_tool` hook handlers and invoke their configured MCP server and tool through a supplied executor.
- Expand nested hook-event placeholders in MCP tool inputs while preserving JSON types, and process tool output through the existing hook output contract.
- Represent hook details as handler-specific metadata in `hooks/list`, including MCP server and tool fields, and show those details in the TUI hooks browser.
- Skip unsupported `SessionEnd` MCP hooks and runtimes without MCP invocation support with startup warnings.
## Testing
- Cover argument expansion, missing placeholders, MCP invocation and hook decisions, discovery warnings, `hooks/list` metadata, and TUI rendering.
GitOrigin-RevId: 295b845471fe92bd7ad7cd272fbcd2c3713912e0
## What changed
- Rebuild hook runtimes for loaded sessions when effective plugins change or a marketplace upgrade installs new plugin content.
- Refresh plugin-related caches and MCP runtimes alongside hooks after plugin mutations.
- Preserve each loaded session's current configuration while rebuilding its hooks.
## Testing
- Cover direct plugin upgrades, including subsequent turn and session-end hooks.
- Cover automatic marketplace upgrades for an already loaded session.
GitOrigin-RevId: fef64c68d652f300c7f3d88e81c5017459aa9a18
## What changed
- Allow `features.guardianv2` to remain a boolean toggle or specify classifier instructions, the review threshold, reasoning effort, and action and instruction token limits.
- Add transcript controls for included sources, per-entry and total token budgets, and the number of recent non-user entries.
- Validate configured ranges and relationships, expose them in the generated config schema, and apply the resolved settings throughout Guardian v2 classification and approval review.
## Testing
- Cover boolean compatibility, configuration parsing and boundaries, config-manager rejection, and the resulting classifier request and approval decision.
GitOrigin-RevId: dc018b53b782e2d6b4d6a795cca4945130a71678
## What changed
- Add `codex-guardian-v2` to the app server's dependencies.
- Install its feature-gated thread, approval-review, and tool lifecycle contributors with access to authentication and thread management.
GitOrigin-RevId: 25672032ccb541138c8c87c9f27f2a7423b2eee0
## What changed
- Add `EnvironmentConfigState` to `TurnEnvironmentSelection` so each environment attachment can inherit thread configuration or carry ready configuration for its login-shell policy and selected capability roots.
- Apply ready configuration during thread creation and thread-settings updates while reusing the existing environment connection.
- Validate selection configuration before applying settings, rejecting unsupported pending state and invalid capability roots.
## Testing
- Cover attachment-scoped capability roots, ready configuration at thread startup and turn updates, and rejection of invalid selections without changing existing settings.
GitOrigin-RevId: 86cf8f2148fdaa746ea0dd12890ab7b1577d7587
## Why
The connection that requested `thread/revert` may close while the thread is
being reloaded, but the replacement listener still needs to serve the thread's
existing subscriptions.
## What changed
Restart the listener task from the preserved thread state after a paginated
thread reload instead of attaching it through the requesting connection.
GitOrigin-RevId: 603ec3331c59bdde48faa2f4cb0fd1032ec8dbd8
## What changed
- Add experimental `thread/queue/add`, `list`, `update`, `delete`, `reorder`, and `start` requests for persistent queued user submissions.
- Automatically dispatch queued submissions in FIFO order after completed or failed turns, while leaving the queue paused after interruption.
- Emit `thread/queue/changed` notifications and expose paginated queue contents with stable submission and client message IDs.
- Export the new protocol types through the generated JSON Schema and TypeScript bindings.
## Testing
- Add app-server integration coverage for capability gating, CRUD, pagination, capacity limits, notifications, automatic dispatch, cold-thread resume, interruption, and explicit queue starts.
