The one-second pause between backfill blocks was set when every read went to FastNEAR's free RPC or its archive. Since #27 was enabled the live endpoint is our own node and start_height the oldest block it holds, so the whole backfill was served by a host we run and the pause only stretched it to about six hours — stalling the tip side for each descending batch, so live pushes were missed meanwhile. The pause now follows who serves the read: heights at or above the live endpoint's earliest block go to rpc_urls, older ones to the archive, and only a set that is not ours is paced. Ours is decided from the URL host — a `.internal` name, localhost, or a loopback, private, link-local or unique-local address — and a set counts as ours only when every endpoint in it is, since failover can reach any of them. Measured against near.internal: the backfill walked about 15,000 blocks in 60 s (≈250/s, up from 1/s) while the top end kept pace with the tip.
